OUT OF PARADISE

In her series 'Out of Paradise', Lekha Singh examines the natural world, its hidden wonders and narratives; she takes a departure from photographs of the human condition to capture multifaceted images of a flower; the Bird of Paradise. 'Out of Paradise' is a holistic 360 degree exhibition concept, including an actual exhibition make up with respective catalogue and website, as well as a handmade limited art box complementing the exhibition.

Inspired by early natural scientists and photographic pioneers, who travelled the world collecting images and notes on the diversity of nature, the nut-wooden box holds a number of photographs printed on glass. The bright colored plexi sheets reflect the variety of colors appearing in Singh`s abstract pictures of the flower "Bird of Paradise".
